Ahad Raza Mir lands role in British war series World On Fire

Ahad Raza Mir landed another international series. He will join world on fireis in the cast of the second season of the series.

After its debut on Netflix in resident Evilthis is Ahad’s second foreign series.

He will be among the additions to the original cast playing Rajib.

Alongside Ahad Raza Mir, other new characters include Mark Bonnar as Sir James Danemere and Gregg Sulkin as David.

world on fire tells the story of World War II “through the eyes of ordinary people whose lives have been thrown into chaos”.

The second season will feature six new episodes written by series creator Peter Bowker, Rachel Bennette and Matt Jones.

The show takes place in October 1940.

The show’s description reads: “Lone pilots are sent to destroy German bombers prowling the skies above Manchester as the Northern Blitz begins. The real reality of war has come to Britain .

The show stars Lesley Manville as Robina, Jonah Hauer-King as Harry, Julia Brown as Lois, Zofia Wichlacz as Kasia, Blake Harrison as Stan and Eugénie Derouand as Henriette, Eryk Biedunkiewicz as Jan and Cel Spellman as Joe Who Will All Return . this season.

Creator Bowker said it took a while to get to the second season due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which made the start of filming quite exciting:

“It has been a real joy to pick up the story with our inspiring cast, established regulars and exciting new talent who have embraced the scale and ambition of the show.

“How the conflict unfolded in North Africa is a fascinating and little explored story, and we aim to restore that balance with stories of struggle and friendship.”

He added that the “diverse cast” reflects the global nature of the conflict.

Ben Irving, the acting director of drama at the BBC, also commented on the show: “With a range of intriguing, untold stories that put ordinary people at the center of the story, and a top-notch cast of characters new and returning, it’s a real pleasure to see the filming of the second season of World on Fire, now underway.
